Not fun: emptying the big, new refrigerator’s contents into the trash because it stopped cooling the day after Thanksgiving :(

Tin Roof Merlot, don’t remember the year. I’ve never had a wine so bland. Seriously. One half glass and I poured the bottle out. That bad.
I see the Cameron Hughes Lot 65 Cab is sold out. That was a GREAT PQR. Really, really good wine.
Cameron Hughes Lot 65 South Africa Cabernet 2006 Coastal Region. Wish I had a case of this. May order a case. Outstanding price/quality.
Louis Latour 2006 Pinot Noir with the turkey. Bought on rec of Central Mkt wine staff. “Great w/turkey”. Should have served the 06 CH Rose’.
Surprise wine of the day: Cameron Hughes Lot 37 Campo de Borja 2006 Grenache Rose. I’m no fan of rose’ but this is a NICE little bottle.
Tasted lots of wines today: Best bottles to follow.
Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler 2005 Reisling. Nice start for the meal. Very light, sweet, pleasant. Really nice.
Check that: 2007 Riesling.
Seghesio Old Vine Zinfandel 2006. Nice. Spicy, vibrant. Excellent pre-turkey meal drink with some great cheeses (cows milk & sheeps milk).
Making blue corn sticks tonight for lunch tomorrow. Thanks @cgraber for the recipe.

Had pupils dilated late this afternoon for eye exam. STILL can’t focus w/o reading glasses. I have 20/20 vision but need reading glasses. :(
On the phone with TXUElectric because my meter is behind a locked gate & can’t be read. So I have to pay for a new “remote read” meter. :(
Started digging into “The Lord’s Service” by Jeff Myers. I’ve got our worship pastor reading it, too. Should spark lively discussion.

Wife & I are planning menus for next week when family is here for 3 days. I’m hoping to pair good wines with each meal. Need suggestions.
